Prom Hairstyles – Prom is an occasion that every girl wants to look her best. Indeed, you HAVE to look beautiful. Prom makes you feel as the most beautiful girl on this planet. And that’s the way you need to step out of school, feeling confident, beautiful and mature about yourself.
An elegant looking style from all angles no matter where you’re looking from. The best part is it isn’t a braid, so you don’t need any braiding experience to do this style! This works best for people with longer hair rather than medium length or shorter. There’s not a lot of volume and no “over the top” style that’ll take hours to wash the hairspray out.
Upside Down French Braid with Bun – If you already know how to french braid your own hair then this shouldn’t be a problem for you at all. Even if you don’t no worries, just hang upside down for a while and let someone else do it. This also doesn’t need a lot of work and can take just minutes to complete. Also, no need to wash hairspray out of your hair since the bun with bobby pins should hold nicely all evening.
Bow French Braid – This can take a bit longer to do and is a little more complicated. The good news is you can have a variety of ways to wear this style, it can be as a headband, it can be diagonal down your head or it can go straight down. This can work on medium length hair as well as long hair, so don’t be discouraged!
Crown Twist – An alternative to the french braid crown which requires braiding experience. This twist doesn’t at all and still keeps all the hair off your neck. It also looks like a sun is on your head or a halo to add a more angelic look to your prom style. Also, it’s a great look to keep hair out of your face while you’re dancing and doesn’t requite gallons of hairspray you’ll have to wash out later.
Cross Braid Sock Bun – This style shouldn’t take too long to do and it’s simple enough to do on yourself (if you’re that good!) and it’s also elegant and complicated enough to wear to a formal event like a prom (or any other dance). This should also work for a regular bun if you don’t have a bun maker ready and don’t want to cut up your socks.
